Not much to say about this one. I’m sticking with colour for now. I have to admit it was a snooze doodle that got me to add the spider; that, and a gentle nudge to add more characters. Guess the comic has progressed a tiny tad. Hoorah! (:

Not sure if I was inspired by Steve Ogden and his mad colouring skills or just feeling like I should attempt something different, either way I’m pretty happy with the results. If you’ve ever been on a long roadtrip then you know how difficult it can be to stay awake. You’ve probably also heard someone who stayed awake tell a tale of amazing adventures that happened while you were snoozing.

Speaking of snoozing, I’ve been updating my personal site with “snooze doodles” almost every evening. So, if you want to see some silly sketches, drop by and check them out.

No, he’s not sick, just super tired. Illustrator crashed on me again and the amount of work lost was pretty discouraging. So, I whipped this up in Photoshop so that something was accomplished! I’m getting a little better with the tablet.

Now, I’m headed to bed, and so is the alien. More to come!

Hoping I’ll be able to get my scanner back in working order soon, but in the meantime fun with various media continues. Where *is* that spaceship going?!

I’ve been having a very hard time being motivated to continue the comic.  I’m just not sure what’s next for our little guys. So, I’m trying something new; I’m going to be experimenting with various media for the comic. After working all day behind a computer, the last thing I want to do is get home and fire up Illustrator.

Today’s comic was a joy to draw. For a brief moment I felt like I was back at Nocturna (the coffee shop where I first started developing the alien as a character :) I left all the sketch marks this time around but may change that up in the future.
